The Soft Touch in Hardscaping
Bluestone is natural, blue-gray sandstone that is commonly quarried in regions of New York and Pennsylvania. Bluestone itself consists of a mixture of sand compound and quartz particles. Bluestone installation is a common method of hardscaping in the northeast due to the availability of the product and the beauty of its color. During the Bluestone installation process, a contractor must take special care to ensure that the stones are not stained and if they are, to clean them off immediately. Because the Bluestone installation process is concluded with sealing, all stains and marks must be removed before the sealing coat makes them a permanent feature of the hardscape. If you are planning to install a patio or walkway, consider Bluestone installation as a natural and beautiful way to add to your outdoor living space.
